This source states the following:  Nancy Thompson Moorhead, wife of James Moorhead, was a strong-minded lady, but mild and affectionate to a large degree. She was a most devout christian woman. She reigned by love as the queen in the home but her word was law; a kind and tender mother, requiring strict obedience from all her children, but careful not to impose too many laws. Her influece and control followed the children through life. Even after they had homes of their own a suggestion from "mother" was carefully observed. Her death, as her life, was calm and peaceful and occurred May 13, 1856, in the 77th year of her life.

Nancy Riddle, James Washington, Robert Brown, John Milton, Charlotte and Lavina.
