Mrs. NANCY MOORHEAD, the estimable wife of A.T. Moorhead, Sr. died Saturday morning, Nov. 3 at the advanced age of 81 years. The deceased has been married for the last twenty five years. Always an estimable lady, respected and beloved by all who knew her, the deceased was one of the well known christian ladies of Church street, and from her noble deeds of charity had hosts of friends all over town. The deceased had formerly been married to Mr. Wills, of Allegheny county and had two sons, who are both dead, their widows surviving them, and both of them attentive and kind to her in her last years. Of this descent are three grand children, all residing near Pittsburg. Mother Moorhead was preceptor and princess of upper Church street, and her old neighbors can never forget her kind benefactions. She was a christian lady, in the fullest sense of the word, and all who knew her revere her memory. The three grand children of mother Moorhead; are C.W. Wills, of the P.O. Department Pittsburg, Wm. Wills, telegraph operator in Dakota, and Miss Annie Wills, who resides with her mother in Pittsburg. The bearers were the sons and sons-in-law in town, A.T. Moorhead, Jr., John C. Moorhead, Robert Lowry and Joseph B. Adair. The remains were removed from her late residence and taken to the U.P. Church, where appropriate services were conducted by Rev. W.S. Owens, former pastor of the church, and Rev. J.D. Brownlee. May the remains of our old neighbor and friend rest in peace.
