Helen Logan Moorhead Obit

 

HELEN LOGAN MOORHEAD, 82, of 713 School St., Indiana, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1975 at Scenery Hill Manor.

 A daughter of James R. and Alice Mae Patton Logan, she was born March 17, 1893 at Lincoln, Kansas.

Mrs. Moorhead had lived for several years in Kansas and Idaho before coming to Indiana in 1915. She was a member of Graystone UP Church and a former member of the DAR.

She was a graduate of Rollin Hall School of Utah and Indiana Normal School in 1916.

Surviving are three sons: Logan R., Lexington, Va.; David Lynn, New York, N.Y.; Charles A., Belle Meade, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Forster, North Plainfield, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; a nephew, J. Robert Logan, California.

Her first husband, Charles A. Moorhead died in 1927 and her second husband, David S. Moorhead died in 1939. A son Ronald died in 1974.

Friends are being received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm today at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. E. Vincent Stratton officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, ndiana.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
