Many Friends Regret the Passing of Charles A. Moorhead,

Who Was Laid to Rest Yesterday; Death of Mrs. Lewis.

OBITUARY NOTES

While the many friends of the deceased expressed sorrow in sympathetic

words, by kindly deeds and beautiful floral tributes, private funeral services

were conducted for Charles A. Moorhead at his late residence on School street

Monday afternoon. He was later laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery. From the

effects of a paralytic stroke, which he sustained a year ago, Mr. Moorhead died

in a Pittsburgh Hospital early Saturday morning.

The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Moorhead and was born

March 14, 1884, in Indiana, where he had always been a resident. He received

his education in the local schools and for a time was connected with the

Sanborn Map Company. For the last twelve years he had been conducting the coal

business, originated by his father. Religiously he was a member of the First

United Presbyterian Church, the minister of which, the Rev. J. C. Pinkerton

conducted the last obsequies. Socially he was a member of the Cosmopolitan

Club. He will long be remembered for his genial personality by his friends and

associates.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen (Logan) Moorhead, and these children:

Alice, Logan, Lintner and Charles. He also leaves these brothers and sisters:

D.L. and W.O. Moorhead, both of Indiana; Mrs. S.J. McMains of Leechburg; Mrs.

H.V. Smith of Johnstown; Mrs. William H. Brown of Toronto, O.; J.E. Moorhead

of West Newton and C.H. Moorhead of Sunbury.

CHAS. MOORHEAD

Following a lingering illness, Charles A. Moorhead, son of the late Mr. and

Mrs. J.C. Moorhead, and well-known Indiana resident and coal dealer, died in a

Pittsburgh hospital early today. Private funeral services will be conducted at

his late residence on School street Monday afternoon. An obituary notice will

be given later.
