At the Grave
Vandruff
John Vandruff, Esq., one of the old and respected citizens of Perrytownship, died at his home on Sabbath morning last, May 12. He was 75years of age on the 7th day of April, last. His health had been poorfor some time, and death was the result of general debility. Mr.Vandruff was a man known for his uprightness of Character and possessedprinciples of strictest honor and integrity. He leaves a family of tenchildren to survive him, the mother being dead. The children are:Winfield S., Mrs. Eli Fox, William L., Mrs. James E. Moore, Mrs. ElizaPhillips, all of whom are married, and Lydia A., Leroy Grant, Emma,Catharine and Frank, who remain at home. The Funeral was held on Mondayat 10 a.m. the remains being interred in the Keigley burial ground.

DIED AT AGE OF 69
WAYNESBURG, March 26 - Mrs. Laura Catherine Gass, 69, widow of SamuelGass, died in her home in Franklin Township, Saturday, March 25, at6:15 a.m. following an illness of several months.
She was born in Perry Township, August 24, 1869, a daughter of John andClarinda Rose Vandruff.
There survive one brother and one sister. They are William Vandruff andMrs. Mary E. Moore, both of Spraggs. Funeral services will be heldMonday, March 27, at 1 o'clock, in the Claughton Chapel Church, incharge of the Rev. I. W. Peters. Burial will be in the Garards FortCemetery.
