Away at Home in South
Rock Island
OLD BLACK HAWK RESIDENT
Mrs. Louisa Vandruff, one of the old residents of the county, died thismorning at her home in South Rock Island of complications due toadvanced age. She was born in Clyde, N. Y. andwas 73 years of age Feb. 7. She had been a resident of this county forthe past 60 years, during thegreater part of which time she lived with her husband, the late JacobVandruff, near Milan. The latter passed away in1880. There are 10 surviving children: Carl H., of Westland, Iowa;Lemual A., of Holbrook, Neb.; Oscar S., ofHarvard, Neb.; Mrs. James L. Wynes, of South Rock Island; Edwin E., ofYork, Neb.; J. Arthur, of Milan; Mrs.Leven Barr, of West Plains, Mo.; Mrs. P. S. Merle, of Oakland, Cal.;Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Estelle M., of South Rock Island.
The funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Louisa Vandruff was held at 2 o'clocktoday from the home of her daughter, Mrs. James L. Wynes, in South RockIsland. Rev. Smith, of the MilanMethodist church, officiated. The burial was made at Chippiannockcemetery.

IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF LOUISA H. VANDRUFF, DECEASED.
And now on this sixth day of May A.D. 1906, comes Fred Titterington,Administrator of said Estate and files herein his report ofdistribution of the funds in his hand according tothe order for distribution entered in this Court on the twenty-ninthday of December A.D. 1905, and it appearingto the Court that all claims and demands against said estate have beenfully satisfied and the costs of thisCourt fully paid, and that said Administrator has distributed to therespective heirs of said deceased all of the balanceof the funds in his hands as per said order of distribution.
It is therefore ORDERED, ADJUDGED, and DECREED that said FredTitterington Administrator as aforesaid, be and he is hereby dischargedand the sureties on his official bondare discharged and released from all further liability herein, and saidestate closed.
Done in open court this sixth day of May A.D. 1906.

That said balance of $1129.03 in his hands should be distributed to thevarious heirs at law of the deceased who are as follows: - - C. H.Vandruff, L.A. Vandruff, Ella E. Wynes,Elizabeth M. Staley, Estelle M. Vandruff, Oscar Vandruff, EdwardVandruff, Anna Barr, Mattie Merle, and Jacob A.Vandruff, all her children and sole heirs at law.
That each of said children is entitled to 1/10 of said balance or$112.90.
The undersigned therefore respectfully prays that this Court will enteran order herein directing him to give such notice to said heirs of thefiling of this report as to him may seembest, and of the date when said report will be by him approved unlessobjections to the approval of the same are filedherein, and that upon said date if no objections to the approval ofthis report are filed herein, that hewill approve this report and enter an order herein directing him todistribute to each of said above named heirs his orher distributive share and that upon his filing receipts of saidseveral heirs and their several distributive shares,the undersigned and his surety on his official bond may be dischargedand relieved from all further liability herein.All of which is respectfully submitted.

Miss Elizabeth Staley, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1945, diedFriday at the Nelson Nursing home east of Colorado Springs.
Miss Staley was born June 23, 1867 in Illinois. She was a member of theMethodist church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Blunt Mortuary.Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Surviving are her brother, Arthur Staley of Moose Jaw, Canada; asister, Miss Estelle Van Druff; two nephews, Vernon Van Druff andLester Van Druff; and a niece, Mrs.Albert Cabaret, all of Colorado Springs.

Dies After Long Illness
Miss Estelle M. Van Druff, 2612 W. Cucharras St., died Tuesday night,following a long illness. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Miss Van Druff was born in Illinois and came to Colorado Springs 14years ago from Grand Junction, where she was a nurse. She is survivedby three nephews, Vernon Van Druff,Lester Van Druff and Glenn Van Druff, and a niece, Mrs. Bert Cabaret,all of Colorado Springs, andseveral other nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the BlountMortuary. The Rev. J. Paul Morgan will officiate. Burial will be inFairview Cemetery.
