At Franklin in said County, State of Pennsylvania, on the 10th day of June 1863, came Sebastian Bloom a native of Hesse Cassel Germany, before C. E. Lytle Prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas of said County, and filed this declaration of his intentions to become a citizen of the United States viz

I Sebastian Bloom a native of Hesse Cassel Germany, do swear by Almighty God the Searcher of all hearts, That it is my bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States and I hereby renounce and abjure forever all allegiance to any foreign prince, potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly do renounce and abjure forever all allegiance and fidelity to the Elector of Hesse Cassel Germany, of whom I was formerly a subject.
