Will of Upton AMMON :
In the name of God, amen. I, Upton Amon of the township of Carroll in the county of Washington in the state of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made.
And as to my worldly estate, and all the property, real, personal or mixed which I shall die seized, and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof, in the following manner to wit:
First: my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall, by my executors hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by him be found convenient.
Item 1st: I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca SCOTT a promissory note which I hold against Hiram RABE together with the interest that have or may hereafter become due on the same.
I also direct that my son William H. AMMON shall pay to my daughter Rebecca SCOTT herein before named the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in part in lieu of the amount he has received of me more than his share of my estate.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ellen SADLER the note which I hold against William H. AMON and all the balance of my estate.
I also direct that my son William H. AMON shall pay my Executor herein named all my funeral expenses in lieu of the amount he has received of me more than his share of my Estate.
And lastly I do nominate and appoint Robert HAGGERTY of the township, county and state aforesaid to be the executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I the said Upton AMMON have to this my last will and testament contained on one sheet of paper as witness my hand and seal this twenty-first day of December A. D. 1885. Upton AMMON " X his mark"
This is to certify that we saw the testator sign and publish the same as his last will and testament, and we in his presence and in the presence of each other and at his request, subscribed our names as witnesses.
