Samuel Royer? Boyer? Rogers? -- the name is rendered variously -- in and around 1777. By 1783 Ephraim had purchased land in Derry Township, Westmoreland County, PA, and in 1786 he settled permanently in South Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County. There he married Mary THOMPSON, daughter of William THOMPSON. They had one child, Moses LATTA, born 1796. I would greatly appreciate any information that would help me locate Ephraim LATTA prior to 1773 and to identify his parents and place of birth.

I am searching for the first wife of Jacob Eppley (1768-1845). Her surname is reported as Prowell in an Eppley family publication. She possibly was born in Cumberland County. They were married before 1811 and resided in Lewisberry township, York County. There they raised a family of nine children. She died there before 1824. Who were her parents?
