Additional Information:

John Limber b 1765, came to Woodcock township in the late 1700s. He married twice in Crawford county. He sold his farm in Woodcock and taught school in Meadville after his first wife died in 1816. in census of 1810 he is listed in Meadville with 2 males under 10 and one female between 16 and 25. one son was Thomas Jefferson Limber (used T J Limber usually as there were other Thomas Limber). b 1807, married Angeline Kincade.

The other son I am not sure of, it may have been Isaac Limber b 1804 in Pa who married Nancy Kerr had 11children and lived in Talmage co (spelling?), Ohio. His descendants (sometimes found as Limbers and even Limbert) were and still are in Crawford and Mercer co., Pa and many more are in Ohio today.

Some descendants from 1800s are Thomas, Christopher, John C , Charles C, Francis, William W , Evalynn Bell ,Emma and many others.

My great x 3 grandfather was john limber, he lived in Western VA, although he was born in Pa. I have not established the exact connection, I am sure they were of the same family. However, I have collected a lot of information on John Limber of Crawford co and his descendants in Crawford and Mercer. They are mentioned in the History of Crawford Co. and can be found in census after 1810. John died in Meadville in 1852. In the Mercer census they are in Salem, Sandy Creek, and Sheakleyville. A Susan Limber born about 1800, I have heard married an early resident of Sheakleyville.
