Joel Jones, Sr. son of Enos Jones and Amplias Wadsworth, first moved to Wayne Twp., Crawford Co., PA.  Joel Jones first wife Sally Southgate died March 20, 1795.  He then married on June 16,1795 her cousin Rhoda Sprague. He died either in that Twp or Randolph on Aug. 11, 1845.
It is noted that he built a house in Guy Mills, it was located on the top of the second hill south from Guys Mills, PA., and on the NE corner of the cross roads at the intersection of the Cocranton Road and Meadville road.  Was a member of the Methodist connection.

Carolyn Matlida Jones, Dau. of Nathaniel Jones and Lovina Tryon married aft. 1828 and married a man named White and moved to Western Crawford Co., PA.

Henry Jones moved to Henry Co., IL from possibly Crawford abt. 1844, he may have been in NY first and somehow is related to VanWorts--his wife's maiden name could have been VanWort but this is unknown for sure.


Joel Jones and his half brother Nathaniel Jones supposedly there were over 21 children from their parents Enos Jones and Amplias Wadsworth and Enos Jones and Prudence Lincoln.
