DAVIS Benjamin & Eleanor {FULLER} both born MA 

DAVIS William Cullen Bryant born near Rochester NY 1821

      He would marry Harriet Newell HAYES on Nov 28, 1848 in Spartansburg.

 They had 3 children all born in Sparta 

       Milita md Francis "Frank" S. COON

                would later settle in PARSONS, LABETTE, KANSAS

       Ella md Danial WYNKOOP would later live in a ALASKA

       Edgar Bryant md Elizabeth Ann SPARKS would eventually settle in LOYN TOWNSHIP, CHEROKEE, KANSAS. 

WCB DAVIS, EB, DAVIS, ELLA WYNKOOP & MILITA COONS would all move to CLARION & then to VENAGO  counties. They were millers by trade mark and would get involved with the oil industry. They would all do very well. In 1880 the families moved to CHEROKEE, KANSAS. Edgar & Elizabeth Ann with their children; LEON CULLEN 1873 SPARTANBURG, LOTTIE ROSE 1875{my Great Grandmother}SPARTANBURG, GEORGE EARL 1877 EBENSBURG, FRED SPARKS 1880 EBENSBURG The following children were all born in COLUMBUS, CHEROKEE, KANSAS, DELL EDGAR 1882, LENA BELLE 1884, ELLA MAY 1886. ARCHIE BRYANT 1890 & INEZ HARRIET 1895. 

Benjamin Davis was a childhood friend and contiune the friendship through out their days with WILLIAM CULLEN BRYANT the Poet. Benjamin wanted to honor his best friend with naming his first son after him, which he did, WILLIAM CULLEN DAVIS he died as an infant. Benjamin's second son WILLIAM CULLEN BYRANT DAVIS  carries his name and each generation the first son has BRYANT of CULLEN as his middle name to carry on the request from a WCB.
