In the name of God, Amen. I Michael Miller, farmer of Sadsbury Township, County of Crawford, and State of Pennsylvania, being weak in body but sound in memory and understanding and considering the uncertainty of death; do make this my last will and testament, in manor and form following.

First. It is my desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal property.

Secondly. It is my wish that my beloved wife Elizabeth Miller have for her use and benefit, two cows, all my sheep, all the house hold and kitchen furniture, beds, and bedding, with her residence in the house or that part of the house now occupied by me, that is the south room and kitchen attached during her natural life.

Thirdly. It is my will that my executors sell all the balance of my personal property, and divide it equal between, Israel Miller, Alexander L. Miller, Jacob T. Miller, Michael H. Miller, Samuel P. Miller, and Daniel Miller. Also after my wifes death that all the goods, chattels, furniture, beds, left to her, be sold and the price of the two cows be divided equal between the above named heirs, and the price of the goods, furniture, sheep, beds, be equally between Mary C. Riley, Sarah A. McDowell, Nancy P. McDowell, and Susannah Gillis.

Fourthly. I will and bequeath to David V. Miller and James C. Miller, my farm on which I now live equal between them subject however to a private contract between them by which James C. has sold his interest in my estate to David V., in view of which, David V. Miller shall have the farm on condition as follows. That he pay to my wife Elizabeth Miller the sum of sixty dollars annually and furnish pasture for the cows in summer and hay in winter. Also in two years after my death and the death of my wife Elizabeth he the said David V. Miller is to pay to my son Israel Miller or his heirs the sum of fifty dollars; also in eighteen months after this payment, seventy five dollars to Alexander L. Miller, also in one year after this fifty dollars to Jacob T. Miller, also in two years after, fifty dollars to Michael H. Miller, and fifty dollars to Samuel P. Miller, also in one year after this, fifty dollars to Mary C. Riley, also in one year after, fifty dollars to Nancy P. McDowell, also in one year after, fifty dollars to Sarah A. McDowell, also in one year after, fifty dollars to Daniel Miller, also in one year after, fifty dollars to Susannah Gillis.

Fifthly. If David V. Miller shall not be able to make the first payment or any one single payment he may have one year longer on that payment and thereby throw back all the payments that year, by paying lawful interest, provided that he be prompt in paying the remaining payments according to the time between each payment as at first specified.

Sixthly. If my son David V. Miller does not comply with or fulfill the above conditions, my executors will sell said farm and pay David V. Miller and James C. Miller, or David V. only in view of consideration as above named (see item fourth), one thousand dollars, it being for David and James both, and divide the balance equally between the heirs as above named, which he was to pay out of said farm, except Alexander L. Miller is to have twenty five dollars more than either of the others as at first written.

I nominate John Scott, Alexander L. Miller, and Jacob T. Miller to be my executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills and testaments by me made heretofore, and herby declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand and fifty seven.
