In the name of God, Amen. I Samuel Henderson of Oil Creek Township, Crawford County, Pa. being in good health of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory (praised be God for the same) and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs, whilst I have strength and copacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making ________ all former wills by me at any time heretofore made; and first and principally I commit my soul unto the hands of my creator who gave it and my body to the Earth to be ______in the burying ground of the family, at the discretion of my Excutors herein after_______, and as to such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to entrust me. I dispose of the same as followeth. First it is my will and desire that my Beloved Wife Rebecca Henderson I leave the house that we now live in and the half of the orchard and a comfortable living of the place as long as she lives and Joseph should not give his mother a good and comfortable living then in that case she may rent the farm to those that will, also she is to have one cow and six sheep and at her death she may dispose of the cow and sheep and what household furniture she may have to those she may think fit and at her death the house and farm with what stock there may be is to be Josephs.
Also I leave to my son William M. Henderson one hundred and four acres of land on which he lives on. Also there is Eighty four acres of land lying on the south west corner of the tract that I wish to be sold and the _______ arising from the sale land to be devided equally with my five daughters. To my daughter Elizabeth Poor one fifth also to my daughter Mary Smith one fifth also to Sarah Anne one fifth also to my daughter Jane White one fifth also to my daughter Harriett R Henderson one fifth of said land if not sold before. Also I bequeath to my youngest son Joseph C Henderson the balance of the farm with all the buildings and farming utensils with all the stock that may remain at his Mothers death. Also it is my desire that Jane Mitchel have the use of her house as long as she lives with the use of the orchard and what fire wood she may _______ in need of off the place. And for my Executors I appoint my Beloved wife Rebecca Henderson and my son William M. Henderson. Oil Creek November 28, 1848

Before me the subscriber Register of Wills & in and for said county personally came William Kelly and Alonzo Poor the witness to the fe_____ going instrument of writing ________ to be the last will and testament of Samuel Henderson do who upon their soleum oaths depose and say that they ________ the Testator Samuel Henderson acknowledge that he executed the above will and ______ ______ declare the same to be his last will and testament at which time they belive said testater Samuel Henderson was of sound mind and memory. William Kelly, Alonzo Poor Sworn and _________ before me this 26th day of Oct 1855
