I Randolph Heard of Cussewago Township Crawford county Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound and disposing memory do make this my last will and
testament in manner following that is to say first all my lawfull debts are to be paid out of my personal property my
executor to sell at public sale sufficient property to satisfy the same Second the ballance of my personal property I give and bequeath to my
beloved wife Mary third the west half of the Farm on which I reside containing fifty acres and
allowance I give and bequeath to my son Ami B. Heard upon condition that he
shall maintain and keep his mother in a comfortable manner during her life
and should it so happen that by misfortune or otherwise he should fail to provide for her support then and in that case she shall have the right to
take possession of the said above fifty acres and apply the whole profit thereof to her use or so much thereof as may make her comfortable
4th the last half of my Farm it is my will and desire may be sold after a reasonable time and the same divided equally amongst the rest of my children
and my grand children whose parents are now dead the same as though it were
their parents in full life It is further my will and desire my wife shall have the privilege of keeping
one horse two cows one cutter and waggon on the premises for her own use
And lastly I constitute and appoint my friend Wm Thickestun executor of this
my last will and testament
In witness whereof I Randolph Heard the testator have hereunto set my hand
and seal this ninth day of November A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty two

have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses therto in presence of the said testator

Personally came before me Register of Wills &c. in and for said County Medad Hotchkiss and Abraham Cartwright subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing instrument of writing perporting to be the last will and testament
of Randolph Heard Late of Cussewago township deceased who being duly sworn
deposeth as follows. That they were present at the execution of said Instrument and saw it signed by Medad Hotchkiss at the request of the said
Randolph Heard, who was at the time unable to write his name, and heard him
the said Randolph Heard declare the same so signed as and for his last will
and testament, and at his request, and in his presence they signed the same
as witnesses, and at the time thereof the said testator was of sound mind memory and understanding according to the best [of - wax bleed through-]
their knowledge and belief.
