I, Jacob Brookhouser of the township of Hayfield, Crawford County and State of Pennsylvania, knowing the course of nature must soon bring me to an end, but being sound in memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament that is to say.

First: I give, devise and bequeath to my eldest son, Jacob Brookhouser, a certain bond out to me, dated December 19,1857 amounting to twelve hundred dollars or any portion thereof that may not be lifted by me or any executor for my support or funeral expenses.

Second: I give and bequeath to my son, Elias Brookhouser a certain or any portion thereof that may not be exacted off him, for my support or funeral expenses, that I hold for the sum of one thousand and sixty dollars.

Third: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Rebecca Straw a certain bond or obligation that I hold against her for the sum of one hundred dollars being given for my support for a deed of a certain piece of land in the township of Hayfield or any portion thereof that may not be necessary for my support or to pay my debts.

Fourth: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Nancy a bond or any portion thereof that may not be collected from her for my support or that may not be needed to pay any debts and funeral expenses amounting to one hundred dollars.

Fifth: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Polly Saeger a certain bond given for a certain piece of land amounting to one hundred dollars or any part thereof that may not be necessary for my support.

Sixth: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Rebecca Fox a certain obligation given by her for the sum of one hundred dollars for my support or any part thereof that may not be collected by me for my support or by my executor for the same to pay my debts and funeral expenses.

Seventh: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Louisa George a certain bond or any part thereof that may not be required for my support or to pay my debts and pay funeral expenses at the time of my death.

Eighth: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Louisa George and my son, Elias Brookhouser all my loose property such as household and kitchen furniture and all my goods and chattels that I am in possession of at the time of my death, except such as may be necessary to pay my debts by my executor and I further constitute and appoint John L Long my executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annuling all my former wills by me made, and satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty-fifth day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven.
