Minnis Shartle, 90 years
old former Conneaut Lake resident died Monday morning at the home of a son, Charles Chartle,
Cleveland, Ohio. He had been ill for a short time. Mr. Shartle was a retired employee of the Bessemer & Lake Erie
Railroad. He moved to Cleveland about 8 years ago. Surviving besides the son, are two daughters. The body was brought from
Cleveland to the Rhodes Funeral Home where final services were held Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. S.T. Davison of the Local Methodist church. Burial rites were performed with the full ceremony by the
members of the Conneaut IOOF. Intermit was made at Lakeview Cemetery with
the following acting as bearers: S.A. Harshaw, Frank Woods, L. Steadman, K.E. Thompson, Wayne
Klinginsmith, and Alfred Dennis.
