Joseph J. Mogush, 82, of 19988 Talon St., Meadville,
died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Meadville Medical Center.
Born in Adah [Fayette County, PA], March 19, 1919, he was a son of George and Eva Tomasic
Mogush.
He attended Littles Corners School and retired from the Pennsylvania Fish Commission where he worked
in the maintenance department.
He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and a former member of Hayfield Volunteer Fire
Department. He enjoyed attending auctions.
Survivors include three sisters, Rose Franklin and her husband, Ben, of Daly City, Calif., Ann Webb
of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Evelyn Almgren and her husband, Louis, of Clarksville, Ark.; three brothers, John Mogush of
Pittsburgh, Michael Mogush and his wife, Barbara, of Edinboro, and Frank Mogush and his wife, Mildred, of Meadville; and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mulvey and Helen Kardosh; and a brother, Charles
Mogush.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St.,
Meadville.
The funeral and committal service will be Friday at 10:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev.
Gregory P. Passauer of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery,
Crossingville.
