John McClintock

died 5 Aug 1913

  John McClintock

John McClintock, one of Meadville's oldest citizens, died at his home on Randolph Street Tuesday evening. If he had lived until the 24th of this month, he would have reached the 89th year of his age. He came to Meadville with his family early in 1864. He was a pioneer in the oil business. He leaves a number of children and two brothers, Hugh McClintock of Meadville and William of Shawnee Mich. His venerable wife was at his bedside when he passed away.
Mr. McClintock was one of the strong men in the Christian work of this City during his active years, and with his brothers, made the family name known as a powerful factor in the religious influences of Meadville. He passes away esteemed and honored by all who knew him.
