Louise A. Love
"Mrs Louise Allen Love, aged 82, and a life-long resident of Titusville, died at 7 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs H G Peek, at Kenmore, NY, where she had been for some time. Mrs Love was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs M N Allen of Titusville and was born at Wellsboro, Pa, on July 14, 1863. She came to Titusville with her parents at the age of 3. H er father was prominent in the civic affairs of the city for many years and was well known for his brilliant writing as editor and publisher of the Courier. He also served as postmaster of Titusville. Mrs Love was graduated from Titusville High school and studied music at Meadville. On November 28, 1888, she was married to Alfred Cornell Love and for a time resided at the Mansion House, which was then operated by Mr Love's father, Warren P Love. Later they lived on West Walnut street for many years. Mr Love died on March 11, 1937. Mrs Love was active in St James' Episcopal church and in the Woman's club until her health failed. She possessed a charming personality and enjoyed a large acquaintance. To Mr and Mrs Love were born four children, Mrs H G Peek of Kenmore, NY, Mrs Chalrs Stone of Penn Yan, NY, Warren A and N Allen Love of Titusville. There are three grandchildren. She was the last of her own family. The body will be brought early today to the Cummins funeral home, where friends may call. Arrangements for services will be announced Tuesday. Intement will be beside her husband in Woodlawn."
