Lawrence C. Ross, 70, of 1322 Park Ave., died at 12:55 p.m. Monday in Oil City Hospital.
He was the father of Mrs. Richard Wheeling of Oil City RD 1.
Mr. Ross, a retired molder at Meadville Malleable Iron Co., was born October 9, 1899, in Meadville, a son of Charles and Ella Drayer Ross.
He was married to the former Mertie McCray, who died in 1963.
Surviving along with his daughter, Mrs. Richard (Ella Mae) Wheeling, are two sons, Gaylord L. Ross of Everett, Wash., and Donald E. Ross of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Clara Woods of Syracuse, N.Y., 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Beatrice C. Bevillienes, and a brother, Edward W. Ross, are deceased.
Removal was made to the Charles R. Hatheway Funeral Home in Meadville, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
