Thomas R. Acker, 76, RD 1 Saegertown, died Monday morning Feb. 3, 1964, at Warren State Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Hayfield Township, July 21, 1887, a son of James and Julia Rodgers Acker. He formerly was employed by the Erie Railroad Co. and was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Cussewago Odd Fellows Lodge and St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a brother, Earl Acker, of RD 1 Saegertown, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hunter Funeral Home, Saegertown, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Rodgers Cemetery, Hayfield Township. The Rev. W.E. Billingsley of Hamlin Methodist Chapel, Coons Corners, will officiate.
