Conrad Stuntz was born in Wurttemburg, Germany in 1738.  He served as a private in the Pennsylvania Line and fought in the battles of White Plains, Trenton, and Monmouth.  In 1778, he married Margaret Brieffling (1760-1830).  Their son John Stuntz (1780-1853) married Elizabeth Hill (1781-1839), in 1804.

Conrad Stuntz died in Crawford County, PA 24 Jul 1810.  He is buried on his farm in Crawford County (Stuntz Cemetery).
