| Richard Shreve was born in
Burlington County, NJ, in 1760.
He served in 1782, as captain of a troop of Light
Horse from Burlington County, NJ,
Col. William
Shreve's 1st regiment, Burlington Co., NJ Militia.
In
1783, he married Margaret Newbold
(1766-1852). Their son Thomas (1787-1857)
married Mary Wigle.
Richard Shreve died in
Crawford County, PA, in 1822.
