Nicholas
Moyer was born in Berks County, PA in 1758. He
served as a private in Capt. John Harrison's company in
1777, and in Capt. Thomas Gaskins' company in 1778, both
units of the Pennsylvania
militia. He was
placed on the pension roll in 1832, of Union County, PA.
Nicholas Moyer died in
1841 in Crawford County.
He
married Rosina ? in 1783.
Their daughter Elizabeth
Moyer (1792-1855), married John
Zimmerman (1790-1848) in 1820.
