Joel
Jones was born in Charlton, Mass. 1764.
He enlisted in 1781, in Capt. John Mills' company,
Col. John Vose's 1st Massachusetts regiment, Continental
establishment. He died in Crawford County, PA in 1845.
He
married Rhoda Sprague
(1769-1854), his second wife in 1795.
His daughter Apphia Jones (1813-1900,
married Daniel F. Stright (1811-1894)
in 1835.
