Fought and participated in the following battles:  Cedar Mountain, Antietam, Gettsburg, Wauhatche, Lookout Mountain,Missionary Ridge, Ringgold, Resaca, New Hope Church, Pine Knob, Kenesaw Mountain, Peach Tree Creek, Atlanta, March to the Sea, Savannah, Durham Station (Surrender)

Jacob Rough, Jr. was born 25 Sept 1840 in Juniata County, PA.  He moved to Deckards, Wayne Twp., Crawford County in 1842.  Lived there the rest of his life.

He died 2 May 1904 at his residence, Deckards, Wayne Twp., Crawford Co., PA and is buried at    Peters Cemetery, Canal Twp., Venango Co., PA
