James Samuel Minium, aged 72 years, died at the home of William Best, at Shaws Landing, Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock, after a week's illness from pneumonia. Mr Minium formerly resided at Buffalo and had recently purchased property at Cochranton where he intended to reside. He was a veteran of the Civil War, being a member of Company B, 12th Pennsylvania volunteer cavalry. He was a member of the G.A.R.
The funeral will be held at W.E. Byham chapel on Arch street Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be in charge of Sergeant Peiffer Post. The burial will take place at Saegertown.
