Former pastor of the First Methodist church of Franklin, Rev. Locke, D.D. died at 9pm Friday at his home 1215 W. 13th Street, Erie. He was the father of Mrs. Forest B. Irwin of Franklin. Dr. Locke who served as pastor of the Franklin church from 1934 through 1910 had been in failing health for several years. He spent the past winter in Florida but had been bedfast since his return to Erie early in May. Dr. Locke was highly regarded in the conference area. He had many friends in Franklin, where he often visited following his retirement. Surviving are wife, two daughters Mrs. Harry H. Hagmann, Erie, and Mrs. Forest B. Irwin, Franklin; one sister, Miss Anetta Locke, Wilkinsburg, appeared in the "Blizzard" PA, June 14, 1948.
