Rev William Parker Hollister From "Scrips and Scraps," abstracts from six old scrapbooks: Rev. William Parker Hollister, son of Mary Ann and the late Parker McKee Hollister, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home in Canfield, Ohio. Though having been in failing health for a number of years, he was able to fill his pulpit as usual last Sunday. Born in Clintonville October 30, 1866. Graduated from Washington and Jefferson and from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In 1893 married Fanny Black who was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ephram Black, who died one year later. Their son, Francis Black Hollister survives. In 1897 he married Carrie Gaston of Cochranton who survives with one daughter, Marian. Also his mother, Mrs. Mary A. Hollister, one brother, Charles Hollister of this city, and six sisters: Mrs. Alvin B. Jordan of Franklin; Mrs. Edward A. Cowles of Cleveland; Mrs. Henry Sewart Steele, of Franklin; Mrs. William C. Kirkpatrick of San Juan, Porto Rico, and Miss Clarissa and Miss Susan P. Hollister, at home. Services in his church at Canfield, O., Friday 11:00 a.m. Interment private Friday afternoon in Franklin cemetery. (June 20, 1925)
