REV. MILLER I. HARDING
A former resident of Lanes Mills, the Rev. Miller I. Harding, died Wednesday, August 23. The minister had been residing at Pleasantville, Pa., since his retirement as a minister in the Erie Conference of the Methodist Church.
The deceased was born Jan. 28, 1885, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harding.
The family moved to Lanes Mills where the Rev. Harding spent his youth and later was ordained into the ministry. He served a number of congregations in Western Pennsylvania during his ministry.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Kearney, two daughters: Mrs. Mary Brooks, Warren, Pa.; Mrs. Frances Miller, Garden City, Mich.; and a son, James M. Harding of Furante, Cal., and five grandchildren. He is also survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Viola McCurdy, Brockway; Mrs. Blanche Burtt, Delmont, Pa.; Mrs. Emma Yount, Brockport; Fred Harding, Stockton, Cal.; Lee Harding of Ridgway; and George Harding of Lanes Mills. Friends were received at the Carlson Funeral Home until the services held in the Moorhead Methodist Church, Saturday afternoon.
