Albert A. Black
Rev.
Albert A. Black was born January 10, 1850 and died on May 10, 1917. He
prepared for college at the Shade Gap Academy and the Millersville State
Normal School. He graduated from Mercersburg College in 1878 and from
the Theological Seminary, Lancaster, in 1881. His first ministerial work
was a three months' supply-pastorate in the Greenville, Ohio, charge.
His first regular pastorate was at Delmont, Pa. He later served the
church at Saegerstown, Boalsburg, Derry, and the Paradise Charge,
Turbotville, Pa. His active ministry extended over a period of
thirty-six years. He is survived by his widow.
