Robert E. Stone, V. L.
Wood in the Wood and Stone Jewelry Store, was born in Keene, New Hampshire, in 1882, the son of Solon W. and Lauretta P. Richardson Stone. He attended the public schools in Kene and the Philadelphia
Horological School, coming to Meadville in 1916 as watchmaker for D. T. Reamer. In 1911 he
established his present firm, located at 967 Water Street.
On July 11, 1909, he married Edith H.
Cummings, daughter of Wellington and Mary Cummings. They have a son, Solon W. Stone.
Mr. Stone is a member of the Masonic Order, president of the Masonic
Building Association, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, American National Retail Jewelers Association and Presbyterian
Church. He is a Republican.
