Dunn, David C., dentist, Meadville, was born in this county, April 17, 1845, and is a son of Rensselaer and Rebecca (Compton) Dunn. The father, a carpenter and resident of this county, was twice married, our subject being the eldest of the family. He received his education in the schools of Meadville, and commenced the study of dentistry when seventeen years of age with Dr. Greenlee, of Meadville. After completing his course of study he entered upon the practice of his profession which he continued with excellent success, having been in practice here since 1869. He was married in 1868 to Elizabeth, daughter of Col. Hays, of Meadville, and they have four children, viz.: William C., Anna, Ellen, and Wallace H. Mrs. Dunn is a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Politically Mr. Dunn is a Republican.
