Dennington, C. J. , photographer, Meadville, was born in this county in October, 1850,
son of John and Margaret (Hollister) Dennington, the father a native of England, the mother of New York State, of English descent. The father,
who was a farmer, died in this county after a residence of over fifty years. C. J., the youngest of a family of seven children, was educated here,
and in 1872 commenced to learn photography, and having a natural taste for art work he soon acquired a reputation as an artist in his line. He was
married in 1874 to Martha, daughter of Luther Wilder, who was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Dennington is a member of the Royal Arcanum; politically, a Republican.
