The Creasy Family Cemetery

From the Book: Cemetary Records of Mifflinville, Brown, Creasy and St. Peter's Church Tombstones from the Private Burial Ground of the Creasy Family of Mifflin Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. There is some of the 333 acre tract purchased by John Creasy, Sr. August 21, 1795 from John Patten. Later John, Sr., on December 18, 1799 deeded a 100 acres of this land to his son Philip Creasy, and, on the same day, deeded a like amount to his son Henry Creasy. Other members of the family are buried here also - some have no stones, others have gone to decay. A Peter Creasy and his wife Elizabeth (Creasy) Creasy and several young children are buried here. Bricks originally marked their graves, but these are gone. Brush, ivy poison and rodents have taken control. Several years ago (1967) some interested descendants attempted to clean it up and became victims of ivy poison.
