Fred Trexler Passes Away This Morning

E. Fred Trexler, well-known resident of this city, died on Monday morning at 9:45 o'clock in the Veterans' hospital, Aspinwall, Pa. Mr. Trexler had been a patient in the hospital for the past five weeks receiving surgical treatment and death was due to complication of diseases.
The deceased was born in DuBois on March 12, 1895, son of Phillip and Susan Trexler. He enlisted in the World War at Oil City, Pa., on September, 1917, and served for the duration of the war in Company E. 23rd Regiment of Engineers. He returned to DuBois in June following the Armistice and has been associated with the Dill company as traveling salesman for some time. He resided in DuBois his entire life and was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. He was a man well and favorably known in the community and word of his demise will be received with marked regret by many friends.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Anna Reese Trexler; one sister, Mrs. Clara Trexler Bollinger, of DuBois; one brother, Ralph O. Trexler, of Armagh, Pa.
The body arrived in DuBois Monday evening but funeral arrangements have not been announced as yet.
