WILLIAM D. MCCLARREN-Osceola Mills

William Dudley McClarren died in the Altoona Veterans Administration Hospital at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 following a brief illness.

Mr. McClarren was born at Osceola Mills, April 2, 1891, a son of the late Samuel Westley and Mary (Powell) McClarren. He was a graduate of Kiski Preparatory School, Saltsburg, PA and of Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn.

On August 26, 1936 he married to the former Lillian Milsom, who survives, along with the following sisters:
Mrs. John (Rachel) Keener and Miss Sarah McClarren, of Painesville, Ohio and Mrs. Joseph (Hester) Smith of Farmville, VA.

Mr. McClarren was a veteran of World War I and World War II. He was a member and past commander of Gorman-Peters Post 313, American Legion, Osceola Mills: V.F.W. Post No. 6704, Mechanicsburg, and 40 et 8 Voiture No. 339. He was also a member of the Osceola Mills Lodge No. 515, F. and A.M. and of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held from the Beezer Funeral Home, Philipsburg, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Stratford C. Taylor in charge. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Osceola Mills honor guard.
Friends will be received at the Beezer Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o clock and Wednesday from 10 o clock until time of service.
