Isaac Hudson, 58, of Glen Richey died Tuesday afternoon at the Veteran's Hospital in Altoona following an extended illness.
Born May 15, 1898 in Munson, he was the son of the late Isaac and Priscilla Arnold Hudson. He was married to the former Madalena Jaquillard of Scottdale.
Mr. Hudson was employed by the Peale, Peacock and Kerr Coal Company for a number of years until illness forced his retirement. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Curwensville and was a veteran of World War I, having served with the 57th Infantry in France.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Magdalena Hudson; a daughter of Glenn Irwin of Glen Richey; one grandchild and the following brothers and sisters:
Mrs. Ella Charlton, Arnold Hudson and John A. Hudson, all of Clearfield R.D.; Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Stiver, Hyde; Mrs. George (Martha) A. Holt, Clearfield R.D.; and James Hudson, Williamsburg, N.Y.
Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and a son.
Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 24 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. John Stebbins officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Full military honors will be given at the graveside by the Clearfield American Legion.
