CURWENSVILLE - Russell Montgomery Decker, 67, of 302 Eastview Drive, Curwensville, died in his home at 5:10 a.m. today.
A son of the late Rush and Mary Ella (Hackensmith) Decker, he was born at Curwensville May 7, 1897. He was a retired machinist of the North American Refractories Co.,
a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion Post, the VFW Post and the Rescue Hose and Ladder Company.
He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Williams; five children: Sheridan, Shrobe, Ohio; William and Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Kauch Jr., Curwensville; Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Keen, DuBois; and Frederick, with the U.S. Air Force at Bangor, Maine; and 11 grandchildren.
He is also survived by the following brohters and sisters: Mrs. Lucius (Bessie) Conser, Mahaffey; Mrs. Frank (Ethel) Moore, James and Mrs. Dorothy Stott, Curwensville; Mr. Robert (Yolanda) Stott, Olanta; and Willard, Philipsburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Russell H. Liniger Funeral Home with the Rev. A. T. Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of service Friday.
