CURWENSVILLE - Services for Samuel Cruikshank, 84, of 400 Bloomington Ave., Curwensville, who died at 3 a.m. Monday, July 10, at Clearfield Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. in Curwensville.
The Rev. Dale Dykstra will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. today until the time of services Friday. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the Curwensville United Presbyterian Church improvement fund, Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., Curwensville Ambulance Service or a favorite charity.

Mr. Cruikshank was born Aug. 5, 1899, in Lawrence Township, the son of Samuel A. and LeVina Bell (Bressler) Cruikshank.
On Nov. 15, 1921, in Wilkinsburg, he married the former Mae Milligan, who survives with these children: Robert, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. Woodrow (Helen) Johnston, Curwensville, and Mrs. Donna Tubbs, Luthersburg; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother, Russell, Sarasota, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Emilie Grassmyer, Curwensville
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Hanna, one brother, Ralph, one grandson, Kenneth Johnston.
Mr. Cruikshank was a member of the Noble Lodge 480 of Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the Williamsport Consistory, a lifetime member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. of Curwensville, an Army veteran of World War I, a member of the American Association for Retired Persons, the Veterans Association of Curwensville, a lifetime member of the Joshua Earl Sipes American Legion Post 505 where he was past commander and adjutant, past president of the Curwensville Area Board of Education, a member of the Curwnesville United Presbyterian Church and a member of the Curwnesville Ambulance Co.
He retired after 45 years of service as crew foreman for the Pennsylvania Electric Co.
