Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the Bennett Funeral Home for Lawrence Confer, 79-year-old resident of 1320 Turnpike Ave., Clearfield, who was died on arrival at the Clearfield Hospital at 8:10 a.m. yesterday.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Duane White with interment in Crown Crest Memorial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home from 3 p.m. tomorrow until time of services Thursday.
Mr. Confer was a member of the Clearfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge of Clearfield. He was also a veteran of World War I.
Born in Woodland May 25, 1894, he was a son of Austin and Helen (Green) Confer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Blanche Butler; a daughter Mrs. Norman (Esterbel) Barr, Buffalo, N.Y.; a son, John Calvin Confer of Clearfield; and three grandchildren: Michael, Michelle and Norma.
