Born in near Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.
He was a son of John E. & Mary Stellen Burns.
He passed away at the Veteran's Hospital in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.
He was a Machinist by trade. He was a former resident of DuBois, Clearfield County, Pa and had resided in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pa.,since 1920.
He was a veteran of World War 1 and served overseas for 2 years.
He was survived by these siblings:
Robert Burns ,of Akron,Ohio;
Mrs. Anna Ditmeyer,of New York City;
Mrs. Carl Nelson and Miss Catherine Burns,of Punxsutawney.
A Mass was sung at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church and burial was made at the church cemetery in DuBois.
