Omer A. Kephart, 72, of Betz, Madera R.D, died Monday, Sept 9, 2002, at his residence.
Born June 24, 1930, in Betz, he was a son of Jesse and Grace (Engler) Kephart.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Kephart retired in 1991 as a boiler operator for Airco Speer Corp., Niagara Falls, N.Y.
He was Methodist by faith. He was a life member of the John Branic Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8822, Madera.
Mr. Kephart is survived by a sister and three brothers, Lucreatia Caber of Bellwood and Asher and Jesse Kephart, both of Madera, and Albert "Mickey" Kephart of Betz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Aaron; and two sisters, Priscilla Syctich and Gloria Rebon.
All services were held at the convenience of the family by the Kruise Funeral Home, Madera.
