William McKinney

William was the son of John McKinney. He married first Lovie Gunsallus about 1854 in Centre County, PA. They had four children: Millard, Ruth, Edward and Virginia.

William served in Co. H, 148th Pennsylvania Volunteers. He enlisted 16 Aug 1862 and mustered out at Alexandria, Virginia on 1 Jun 1865.

They moved to Clearfield County about 1885 where he worked as a miner. Following Lovie's death in 1894 he married second Mary Ann Lewis in 1895. Mary Ann was a widow with three children. Mary Ann died 26 Nov 1906.
