William B. Ferguson, Grampian Veteran, Dies

William Bruce Ferguson died at Grampian on Monday, June 15, of the infirmities incident to old age.
Mr. Ferguson was born December 24, 1842. He came of the line of sturdy Scotch Presbyterians. His grandfather, John Ferguson, a Revolutionary soldier, came to this county in 1753.
Enlisting in the Civil War, Mr. Ferguson served in Company M, Pennsylvania Mounted Volunteers. He was among the last of the veterans who are rapidly passing away.
He was married to Emily Kirkwood who died just twenty years ago. The family consised of Mrs. H. S. Buck of State College; Mildred Ferguson of Akron; Mrs. George M. Bilger, deceased; Mrs. J. W. Hile of Bradford Township' E. B. Burguson and Mrs. James A. Mead of Clearfield. He is survived also by one sister, Mrs. Isaiah Caldwell of Grampian.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. James A. Mead, 1007 Dorey street, Clearfield. Interment at Hillcrest.
