Frederick Betts Caldwell

Married on Jan 14, 1868 in Clearfield, Pa.

Served in Co. A, 17th Reg. of the US Infantry during the Civil War (Pa Inf was crossed out on the pension card). He mustered in on April 7 1862 at Lock Haven (Clinton County PA) and mustered out on April 6 1865 at the expiration of his term of service. He was an 18 year old farmer who was living in Clearfield when he enlisted. He applied for his pension the month following his discharge.
