Death of B. F. Alexander
An Old Soldier Departed This Life This Morning

B. F. Alexander died in his little home on Spruce alley about 11 o'clock a. m. Friday. He was a veteran of the late war and followed the trade of tailoring so long as he was able. He lived alone in his former workshop for a number of years. Last March he had a paralytic stroke which left him unable to work. He applied for a pension and was granted $8.00 a month which shortly afterwards was increased to $12.00. He also received considerable back pay. About two weeks ago he had another stroke which rendered him almost helpless and confined him to his bed. He was in his 69th year. He is survived by a wife and six sons.
