I Samuel P. YORGEY of Douglass Township Berks County, PA being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows to wit:
I direct all my just debts to be paid as soon after my death as is convenient.
I direct my Executors hereinafter named or the survivor of them within 2 years after my death to sell all my real estate at public or private sale or sales at the best prices they can conveniently obtain: and I hereby authorize my said Executors or the survivor of them to execute good and valid deeds to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in fee simple.
The proceeds arising from such sale or sales together with my entire personal estate I direct shall be divided into five equal shares and I dispose of the same as follows, to wit:
One of said shares I give and bequeath to my daughter, Margaret EAGLE, her heirs and assigns.
One of said shares I give and bequeath to my son, Columbus YORGEY, his heirs and assigns.
One of said shares I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mary MAUGER, her heirs and assigns.
One of said shares I give an bequeath to my son, Samuel YORGEY, his heirs and assigns.
One of said shares I give and bequeath to the Security Company of Pottstown, PA, in trust, that the said Company invest the same in good real estate security, and the interest arising therefrom to pay semi-annually to my daughter Anna OXENFORD, during her natural life, and at her death to pay the principal sum so invested to the child or children of my said daughter, Anna, share and share alike there heirs and assigns.
Should my said daughter Anna during her lifetime need or require something more than the mere interest of the sum invested, for her comfortable support and maintenance, then and in that case, on her application, the said Security Company, may in its judgement advance and pay her from the principal sum in- vested, such sums as said Company may deem just right and necessary: and no question or objection shall by any one, be raised against the exercise of such judgment and the payment of such sums to my said daughter by the said Security Company.
I constitute and appoint my two sons Columbus YORGEY and Samuel YORGEY to be the Executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st day of October A.D. 1899.

Proved June 13 AD 1900 same day letters Testamentary granted unto Columbus L. YERGEY and Samuel L. YORGEY, Testator died May 12, 1900.
Contributors Note: Samuel P. YORGEY (b.10-5-1828 d. 5-12-1900) was the son of Samuel Hanselman YORGEY and Elizabeth (Pile). Samuel P. YORGEY married Catharine (Moser) LEVENGOOD and according to Berks County death records died of Catarrh of the stomach after an illness of 3 months. and buried in Pottstown.
The children of Samuel P. YORGEY and Catharine Moser LEVENGOOD were:
Of their 8 children, 6 were mentioned in Samuel's will. Neither the second born Amanda, nor the last born, William are mentioned. This could indicate they died prior to the will and without issue. In fact the Berks County death records note a William YORGEY born in Douglass Township, Berks County, died 11-30-1896 at age 22 years. An Amanda YERGEY (b.3-2-1860 d. 3-19-1862) daughter of Samuel and Catharine YERGEY was buried at the the "Old Burying Ground" between Chestnut and Walnut Streets, Pottstown, PA.
