In the name of God amen. I Cresteena Vard of Heydelberg Township and County of Bercks and in the State of Pennsylvania am very sick in body but of sound mind and memory. Blasset be to almighty God. First of all I recommend my sould to God and my body to the earth to be desandly borried. Item. It is my will that my funeral Cherges and my debts may be paid. 1sten. Leave and bequeth unto beloved neven, my sister's son John Shaffer the sum of 10 pounds. Secondly leave and bequeath unto my sister Catharena my clock. Thirthly I leave and bequeath unto Brother George William Vard one shilling starling. Fourthly I leave and bequeath unto beloved sisters and my two brothes Ludwick Vard, Christian Vard, Mary Elezebeth Anna Mary Magtalan and Susanna each of them shear and shears alick after my funarl expences are all paid and lastly I do a nomanat and a point my true and loving brother Ludwick Vard as executor of this my last will and testament redefying and desanclling all other wills or testaments to fore maid or done. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hadn and seal this eleventh day of March one thousand seven hundred ninety three.

Then personally appeared Peter Riedy and Christn. Freehefer, witnesses to the above written will and on their oath respectively on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God did depose and say that they were present together and did see and hear Christina Wert the Testatrix therein named sign, seal, pronounce, publish and declare the same writing to be her last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof she the said testatrix was of sound mind memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and as they verily belive, and further that the names Peter Riedy and Chrisn. Freehefer there subscribed are of the proper handwriting of the said deponents respectively by them thereto subscribed as witnesses in the presence of each other and at the request and in the presence of the said testatrix.
